Natural products such as wood floors are susceptible to wear and tear in today’s residential and commercial environments. Wood floors are hygroscopic, expanding and contracting in response to the constant changes in relative humidity, temperature, and moisture in environmental conditions. Furthermore, each wood species is unique in how it reacts to these environmental changes.

 The engineered wood flooring design is the optimum construction for addressing wood flooring’s environmental fluctuations. Simply stated, engineered wood floors are a “better mousetrap” compared to solid wood plank flooring.
